An animated feature film titled Shiv Sati is set to release later this year, with its teaser unveiled ahead of Maha Shivaratri 2026. The film has been announced by Saregama India, marking its continued focus on innovative and culturally rooted storytelling. The film is directed by Vivek Anchalia, known for his work on Rajma Chawal. Sharing his vision, Anchalia said that the story of Shiv and Sati represents love on a scale rarely seen, calling it the first love story of the universe. He added that modern technology and audience interest in grand spectacles make this the right time to retell the tale.

Speaking about the project, Siddharth Anand Kumar, Executive Vice President, Films & Events at Saregama, said the story of Shiv Sati is profound yet underexplored. He noted that the film will present the narrative in an authentic, immersive, and cinematic animated format. The teaser has already sparked curiosity among audiences.

Tu Yaa Main Struggles at Box Office on Day 1

Tu Yaa Main had a slow start at the Indian box office on its opening day. The survival thriller starring Shanaya Kapoor and Adarsh Gourav, and directed by Bejoy Nambiar, earned around ₹55–57 lakh nett on Friday, according to early estimates by Sacnilk.com. With 1,239 shows and an average occupancy of just 6%, the film failed to cross the ₹1 crore mark.

Despite the weak opening, Tu Yaa Main managed to outperform the lead actors’ previous releases. Shanaya Kapoor’s 2025 romantic drama Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan collected about ₹30 lakh on day one, while Adarsh Gourav’s Superboys of Malegaon earned roughly ₹50 lakh at its opening.

The film has received mixed-to-positive critical feedback, with praise for Adarsh Gourav’s performance and the film’s attempt at a gritty survival thriller. Whether word of mouth can boost its weekend numbers remains to be seen.
