The film opened with ₹30 crore on Friday and saw its highest single-day collection of ₹59 crore on Monday, Republic Day. Sunny Deol’s much-awaited film Border 2 hit theatres on January 23, but several morning shows were cancelled across parts of India. Reports suggest that delays in content delivery led to the cancellation of early screenings, leaving fans disappointed on release day. Sunny Deol and Varun Dhawan’s upcoming war film Border 2 is set to release in theatres on January 23, 2026. However, the film will not be screened in several Gulf countries. According to reports, the movie has been banned in Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE, leaving fans in these regions disappointed ahead of its release.

The makers of Border 2 have released the film’s third song, “Jaate Hue Lamhon,” which brings back the emotional essence of a beloved track from the original Border. The original song, “Ae Jaate Hue Lamhon,” was composed by Anu Malik, sung by Roop Kumar Rathod, and written by Javed Akhtar.
