Border 2 Crosses ₹200 Crore in Just 6 Days at Indian Box Office

Sunny Deol’s Border 2, released on Republic Day, continues to dominate the box office. On Wednesday, the film earned ₹13 crore, taking its total domestic collection to ₹213 crore. Within just six days, the action-packed sequel comfortably crossed the ₹200 crore mark, showing strong audience response.

The film opened with ₹30 crore on Friday and saw its highest single-day collection of ₹59 crore on Monday, Republic Day. With steady growth through the weekend, including a 49% jump on Sunday, Border 2 has already surpassed the opening weekend numbers of Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh noted that the film maintained full ticket rates on weekdays while performing exceptionally well in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities.

Directed by Anurag Singh, the film stars Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh, Varun Dhawan, and Ahaan Shetty. Produced by Bhushan Kumar and JP Dutta, it is the highly anticipated sequel to the 1997 classic Border.

Border 2 Nears ₹250 Crore Worldwide in Just 4 Days

Sunny Deol and Varun Dhawan’s war drama Border 2 has taken the box office by storm. In just four days since its release, the film has sailed past the Nears ₹250 crore mark globally. The movie, featuring Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty alongside Sunny, enjoyed a bumper Republic Day weekend, thanks to strong word of mouth and audience appreciation.

The film opened with ₹30 crore net on day one despite some show cancellations and kept rising over the weekend. On Republic Day, the fourth day, it collected ₹59 crore domestically, pushing its India net collection to ₹180 crore (₹212.5 crore gross).

Border 2 has already beaten the lifetime collections of hits like Sikandar and Raid 2. With its current pace, the film is on track to reach ₹300 crore soon, making it one of Bollywood’s biggest releases of 2026.

Border 2 Crosses ₹150 Crore Worldwide in Just 3 Days

Border 2 has taken a powerful start at the worldwide box office. The war drama starring Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan and Diljit Dosanjh crossed ₹150 crore globally within just three days of release. On Day 3, the film’s total worldwide collection reached an impressive ₹167 crore, marking one of the biggest opening weekends for a Hindi film in 2026.

In India, Border 2 opened with ₹30 crore net on Day 1, followed by steady growth over the weekend. Sunday proved to be a major boost, with the film earning ₹54.50 crore net in a single day. The total India net collection now stands at ₹121 crore, while the gross figure has touched ₹142.5 crore.

Internationally, the film earned around $2.6 million by Sunday, pushing its global numbers higher. Border 2 has already beaten the lifetime worldwide collection of Sunny Deol’s earlier release Jaat, which earned ₹119 crore, and is now heading confidently towards the ₹200 crore mark.

Sunny Deol’s Border 2 Earns ₹66 Crore in Two Days

Border 2 continues its impressive run at the box office, showing a sharp rise in collections on its second day. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film earned around ₹36.7 crore on Saturday, taking its total domestic collection to nearly ₹66.7 crore. The war drama has clearly benefited from positive word of mouth and strong audience interest across key markets.

Starring Sunny Deol along with Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty, the film recorded an overall Hindi occupancy of 41.58 percent on Day 2. Night shows proved to be the biggest crowd-puller, registering an occupancy of over 61 percent. Cities and states like Rajasthan, Gujarat, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and Mumbai have shown especially encouraging response.

Trade experts are optimistic about the film’s extended weekend performance. With the Republic Day holiday adding momentum, Border 2 is expected to cross major milestones and potentially touch the ₹150 crore mark by Monday.

Border 2 Morning Shows Cancelled Due to Technical Delay

Sunny Deol’s much-awaited film Border 2 hit theatres on January 23, but several morning shows were cancelled across parts of India. Reports suggest that delays in content delivery led to the cancellation of early screenings, leaving fans disappointed on release day. Exhibitors clarified that the issue was temporary and caused by technical reasons.

According to trade sources, early shows scheduled between 7:30 am and 9 am could not take place as the final digital content was delivered late. Platforms like UFO Moviez reportedly informed cinema owners that the download would start only around 6:30 am. With the film’s long runtime of 192 minutes, it took additional hours to prepare the content for screening.

Despite the initial disruption, exhibitors remain confident that shows will resume smoothly. Screenings are expected to begin nationwide by around 10 am.
