Amaran is a biographical drama based on the life of Major Mukund Varadarajan, an Ashok Chakra awardee, and is inspired by the book India’s Most Fearless: True Stories of Modern Military Heroes by Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh. The film traces the Major’s journey from his days at the Officers Training Academy (OTA) in Chennai to his sacrifice during a terrorist attack in Kashmir. Sai Pallavi plays the role of Major Mukund’s wife, Indu Rebecca Varghese, bringing emotional depth to the narrative.

Actor Sivakarthikeyan was recently felicitated by the Officers Training Academy in Chennai for his moving portrayal of Major Mukund Varadarajan.
