Avatar: Fire and Ash Returns to Pandora

James Cameron is back in the world of Pandora with Avatar: Fire and Ash, the third film in the blockbuster Avatar franchise. Released three years after Avatar: The Way of Water, the film continues the epic saga that changed the scale and style of modern cinema.

The movie brings back most of the original cast, including Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldaña, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Kate Winslet, and Cliff Curtis, along with many returning young actors. This installment also introduces new faces, with Oona Chaplin and David Thewlis joining the ensemble cast.

Avatar: The Way of Water premiered in December 2022 and was released worldwide later that month. Fire and Ash hit theatres globally, including India, on December 19. James Cameron has confirmed that the Avatar universe will expand further, with two more films planned for release in 2029 and 2031.

Actress Mrunal Thakur is all set to impress audiences once again with her upcoming film Dacoit: A Love Story, starring opposite Adivi Sesh. The makers released the much-awaited teaser on Thursday, giving a glimpse of an intense mix of romance and action. Directed by Shaneil Dev, the film also features filmmaker Anurag Kashyap in a significant role. The teaser showcases Mrunal in a bold avatar, driving at high speed, while Adivi Sesh appears in a powerful action-packed role.

The teaser opens with a romantic track that soon transitions into a gripping action narrative. Mrunal and Adivi Sesh are seen portraying modern-day outlaws, planning a daring mission together. The video also offers glimpses of the supporting cast, including Anurag Kashyap, Prakash Raj, and Atul Kulkarni. Veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra passed away on November 24, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving the film industry and his fans deeply saddened. To honour his remarkable contribution to Indian cinema, his popular film Yamla Pagla Deewana is all set to return to theatres. This announcement has brought excitement among fans, who will once again get the chance to relive his iconic screen presence on the big screen.

Released in 2011, Yamla Pagla Deewana featured Dharmendra alongside his sons Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol. The action-comedy entertainer was widely appreciated for its humour, family appeal, and the strong chemistry between the trio. Directed by Samir Karnik, the film remains one of Dharmendra’s most loved performances in his later years.

According to reports, the film will be re-released on January 1, as a New Year special tribute. Bollywood action star Sunny Deol is all set to make waves again after the success of Gadar: The Katha Continues. Reports suggest he is the top choice to play Lord Hanuman in a brand-new musical film produced by Namit Malhotra of Double Negative. The project is described as a “mythological-pop opera with thunderous action,” promising epic songs, breathtaking stunts, aerial combat, flaming-torch choreography, and a 12-minute battle hymn. Insiders say the film could become the next major installment in the Ramayan Universe (R-Verse), giving Hanuman his own spectacular stage.

Sources reveal the production will feature interconnected storylines similar to the Avengers franchise, with recurring characters and crossovers. “Hanuman is their Hulk — unstoppable, beloved, and built for spectacle,” a source said. Sunny Deol, who is also part of Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana, has expressed excitement on Instagram, calling it an honor to bring this legendary character to life and share it with audiences worldwide.

Alongside this project, Sunny Deol has a busy lineup including Border 2 (January 2026), Gabru (March 2026), Lahore, 1947, Soorya, Baap, Jaat 2, and Coal King. Ramayana – Part I is slated for a global release during Diwali 2026, followed by Part II in Diwali 2027, marking a significant expansion of the mythological cinematic universe with Sunny Deol at its center.
