Veteran screenwriter Salim Khan has been hospitalised in Mumbai after his health reportedly deteriorated. According to sources, the 90-year-old was admitted to Lilavati Hospital on Tuesday morning and is currently under observation in the ICU. Doctors are conducting medical tests to assess his condition, and the family is closely monitoring his recovery.

Actor Salman Khan was seen visiting the hospital to be by his father’s side. Though he avoided interacting with the media, his presence reassured fans. Salim Khan’s son-in-law Atul Agnihotri also arrived at the hospital shortly after, reflecting the family’s support during this time.

Salim Khan is regarded as one of Hindi cinema’s most influential writers, best known for classics like Sholay, Deewaar and Zanjeer. As part of the legendary Salim–Javed duo, he shaped the “angry young man” era of Bollywood, leaving behind a legacy that continues to inspire generations.
