One of the most awaited films of 2026, Raja Shivaji, has created a strong buzz with the release of its first official poster on Shiv Jayanti. The poster features Riteish Deshmukh in a powerful and regal look as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Shot in Marathi and Hindi, the pan-India project aims to bring the legendary warrior king’s legacy to audiences across the country.

Actor-producer Genelia Deshmukh shared the poster in both Marathi and English, calling Shivaji Maharaj “Our King, Our Pride, Our Legacy.” She described the film as a tribute to Swarajya and promised a grand cinematic experience. Fans flooded social media with excitement, praising the intense first look.

Directed by Riteish Deshmukh, Raja Shivaji boasts a massive ensemble cast and music by Ajay-Atul, with cinematography by Santosh Sivan. The film is set to release on May 1, 2026, coinciding with Maharashtra Day.

Icon star Allu Arjun is set to collaborate with acclaimed Tamil director Lokesh Kanagaraj for a massive pan-India project, officially announced recently. Backed by Mythri Movie Makers, the film has already created huge excitement as two powerhouse talents come together for the first time. Fans across languages are eagerly waiting to see what this high-budget spectacle will offer.

The pre-production work has begun, and the makers are planning to take the film, tentatively titled AA23xLK7, on floors in the second half of 2026. Strong rumours suggest that Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor is being considered as the female lead. However, there is no official confirmation from the makers regarding her casting so far.
