As the film nears its two-year mark, reports suggest that work on Kalki 2898 AD Part 2 may begin soon, with filming expected to start in February 2026. Alongside this update, a new casting rumour has caught fans’ attention.

According to ongoing speculation, Sai Pallavi is being considered to replace Deepika Padukone in the sequel. Earlier reports had hinted at Alia Bhatt as a possible choice, but current buzz points toward Sai Pallavi as the frontrunner. However, the makers have not made any official announcement, and the reports remain unconfirmed.

Previously, the team revealed that they would not continue with Deepika Padukone due to scheduling challenges. Meanwhile, Prabhas is set to juggle Kalki 2898 AD Part 2, Spirit, and Fauji, as director Nag Ashwin expands the epic mythological sci-fi universe further.

Icon star Allu Arjun is set to collaborate with acclaimed Tamil director Lokesh Kanagaraj for a massive pan-India project, officially announced recently. Border 2 Crosses ₹200 Crore in Just 6 Days at Indian Box Office

Sunny Deol’s Border 2, released on Republic Day, continues to dominate the box office. On Wednesday, the film earned ₹13 crore, taking its total domestic collection to ₹213 crore. Within just six days, the action-packed sequel comfortably crossed the ₹200 crore mark, showing strong audience response.

The film opened with ₹30 crore on Friday and saw its highest single-day collection of ₹59 crore on Monday, Republic Day. With steady growth through the weekend, including a 49% jump on Sunday, Border 2 has already surpassed the opening weekend numbers of Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh noted that the film maintained full ticket rates on weekdays while performing exceptionally well in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities.

Directed by Anurag Singh, the film stars Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh, Varun Dhawan, and Ahaan Shetty. Produced by Bhushan Kumar and JP Dutta, it is the highly anticipated sequel to the 1997 classic Border.

FIR Filed Against Ranveer Singh Over Alleged Religious Insult

Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh is facing legal trouble after an FIR was filed against him in Bengaluru for allegedly disrespecting the Chavundi Daiva tradition of coastal Karnataka. The complaint was lodged months after the incident, which occurred during the closing ceremony of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa on November 28, 2025.

During the event, Ranveer reportedly mimicked a Daiva performance inspired by the film Kantara: A Legend – Chapter 1. His act drew criticism on social media for allegedly mocking a sacred ritual. Following the backlash, the actor apologized publicly on Instagram, stating he never intended to offend anyone.

The FIR, filed under Sections 196, 299, and 302 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, was submitted by Bengaluru-based advocate Prashanth Methal. The case is now with the 1st Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court and is set to be heard on April 8. Ranveer has not yet commented on the FIR.

After several delays, Welcome To The Jungle, directed by Ahmed Khan, has finally locked its theatrical release date. The much-awaited multi-starrer comedy entertainer is set to hit cinemas on June 26, 2026. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed the news on social media, calling it the return of one of Bollywood’s biggest comedy franchises.
