Rishab Shetty’s Kantara: A Legend Chapter 1 has stormed the Indian box office, becoming the first film of 2025 to cross ₹200 crore within its opening weekend. Directed by and starring Shetty himself, the film collected an impressive ₹223.25 crore in India during its four-day extended weekend, earning ₹61.85 crore on day one, ₹45.5 crore on day two, ₹55 crore on day three, and ₹61 crore on day four.

With this performance, Kantara Chapter 1 has surpassed major hits like Sankranti Ki Vastunam, Housefull 5, They Call Him OG, and Raid 2, entering the list of the year’s top 10 highest-grossing Indian films.
