Ranveer Singh’s Film Dhurandhar Shows Strong Hold, Crosses 50 Crore in Two Days

Ranveer Singh’s action thriller ‘Dhurandhar’ has made a spectacular start at the box office. After an impressive opening on Friday, the film showed even stronger growth on Saturday, crossing the 50-crore mark in just two days. Friday alone saw the film collecting 28.60 crore, making it the third-biggest opening of the year. Strong pre-release buzz, positive reviews, and solid word-of-mouth contributed to its success. On the second day, trade reports suggest the film earned around 33–35 crore, giving it nearly a 20% jump, bringing the total estimated net collection to 62 crore.

Positive audience response and stellar performances by Ranveer Singh, Akshay Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, and Rakesh Bedi have amplified the film’s momentum. Social media buzz and rave reviews are expected to boost the Sunday collection further. Typically, Sunday shows a slight drop compared to Saturday, but even a modest 12% jump could push Sunday’s earnings to around 38 crore, setting up the film for a strong first weekend.

If this trend continues, ‘Dhurandhar’ is on track to join the 100-crore club within its opening weekend. Only two other films this year—Vicky Kaushal’s ‘Chhawa’ and Hrithik Roshan-Junior NTR’s ‘War 2’—have achieved similar milestones. Directed by Aditya Dhar, known for ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’, the film marks Ranveer Singh’s biggest hit in seven years, after blockbusters like ‘Padmavat’ and ‘Simmba’.
