Sanjay Leela Bhansali presents ‘Bharat Gatha’ on Republic Day

At the 77th Republic Day Parade, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting presented a visually rich tableau titled ‘Bharat Gatha’, created by ace filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Marking a historic first, an Indian film director designed a Republic Day tableau, bringing cinema into the heart of the national celebration. The presentation highlighted India’s deep-rooted storytelling tradition, from ancient times to modern cinema.

The tableau beautifully traced the evolution of Indian narratives, beginning with the sacred sound of Aum, moving through symbols of knowledge, wisdom, and art, and culminating in the era of vintage film cameras. Through intricate visuals, music, and design, ‘Bharat Gatha’ showcased cinema as a continuation of India’s cultural journey rather than just a form of entertainment.

Adding soul to the spectacle was Shreya Ghoshal’s specially recorded song. Her emotive voice elevated the tableau, perfectly blending tradition with contemporary expression and leaving a lasting impression on Kartavya Path.

Border 2 Trailer Released on Army Day, Patriotic War Epic Returns

On the proud occasion of Indian Army Day, the makers of Border 2 have unveiled the much-awaited official trailer, reigniting patriotic emotions across the country. Presented by T-Series and JP Films, the war epic is inspired by true events from the 1971 India-Pakistan War and showcases the unified strength of the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force. The trailer sets the tone for one of the biggest cinematic releases of 2026.

Mounted on a grand scale, the trailer features powerful visuals of battalions charging forward, fighter jets soaring through the skies and naval forces dominating the seas. Sunny Deol commands the screen with impactful dialogues, while Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty appear in intense, battle-ready avatars, portraying stories of courage, sacrifice and valour.

Alongside action, the trailer highlights emotional moments from soldiers’ personal lives, including their families’ struggles back home. Directed by Anurag Singh, Border 2 releases in cinemas on January 23, 2026.

The much-awaited teaser of Border 2 has finally been released on December 16, 2025, marking a powerful cinematic moment on the occasion of Vijay Diwas. Featuring Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty, the teaser offers a gripping first look packed with intense patriotism and high-octane action. Sunny Deol reprises the commanding aura of Major Kuldeep Singh, whose thunderous dialogue delivery and screen presence once again signal a strong message to Pakistan, echoing the legacy of the 1997 classic Border.

Border 2 is a sequel to the iconic war film Border and is slated for a theatrical release on January 23, 2026, during the Republic Day weekend. Directed by Anurag Singh and produced by J.P. Dutta and Bhushan Kumar, the film is reportedly made on a massive budget of ₹250–₹300 crore. Along with Sunny Deol in the lead, the cast includes Varun Dhawan as Major Hoshiar Singh Dahiya, along with Diljit Dosanjh, Ahan Shetty, Sonam Bajwa, Medha Rana and Mona Singh. ₹4,000 Crore Tower Being Built in Dubai Named After Shah Rukh Khan

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s global popularity has reached a new milestone as a Dubai real estate company announced a special tower named Shah Rukhz in his honor. The building will also feature a grand statue of the actor at the entrance. During the announcement event in Mumbai, Shah Rukh said his mother would have been extremely proud to see such an honor. He added that this project is beautifully designed and built with modern features.

Shah Rukh shared that he usually never puts his name on anything, which makes this gesture even more special for him. He said that when he visits Dubai with his children, he will proudly point towards the building named after him. The company also revealed that the tower is valued at around ₹4,000 crore, making it one of their major upcoming projects.

The ‘Shah Rukhz’ tower will be developed over 10 lakh sq ft and is expected to be completed in the next 3–4 years. It will offer more than 40 lifestyle amenities including a free club, outdoor lounge, gym, and even a helipad.

Salman Prays for Dharmendra’s Health,Said He’s Like a Father to Me

Salman Khan recently opened up about Dharmendra’s health, expressing deep affection and concern for the veteran actor. Salman was among the first to visit Dharmendra during his hospitalisation in Mumbai. During a press event in Qatar, when Salman was asked about the inspiration behind his fitness journey, he immediately named Dharmendra. He said, “He is like my father…I love that man, and I just hope he will come back soon,” earning loud cheers from the audience.

Dharmendra and Salman have shared a close bond for years. Dharmendra often lovingly calls Salman his “beta,” and once even said that Salman would be the perfect choice to play him in a biopic. Dharmendra was discharged from the hospital on Wednesday, and Sunny Deol’s team shared that his treatment will continue at home, requesting privacy for the family during this time.

Salman Khan will be seen in Battle of Galwan, co-starring Chitrangda Singh. Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, the film revisits the deadly 2020 Galwan Valley clash between Indian and Chinese soldiers.

Bollywood’s biggest superstars — Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Aamir Khan — recently shared the stage at the Joy Summit in Saudi Arabia, reigniting fans’ hopes of seeing them together in one film.

During a panel discussion, the moderator asked Salman about a dream project that could become a massive hit in Saudi Arabia. Salman replied that any good Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, or Malayalam film could do well, adding that the script would be the true star if the three Khans ever worked together.

Shah Rukh humorously added that bringing all three of them together would be a “beautiful dream,” not a “nightmare,” but also joked that no one could afford them — not just financially, but in terms of coordinating their schedules and creative energies.

Aamir, too, had previously revealed at the 2024 Red Sea Film Festival that the trio had discussed the idea of a joint project. He emphasized that it would be a “sad thing” if the three never worked together and that they were waiting for the perfect script.

While no project has been confirmed yet, the three Khans have made it clear — they are ready, the world just needs the right story.

Miniatures Drama & Four Brothers Films to Release ‘Dil Dosti Finance’ on YouTube from August 15

Storytelling is evolving—and today, the screen in our pocket often feels closer than the big screen. Taking this shift forward, Miniatures Drama is set to launch its new series Dil Dosti Finance on August 15, 2025, exclusively on YouTube.

Produced under the banner of Four Brothers Films, the series is helmed by producers Himanshu Raj Talreja, Abhijeet Biswas, and Nitish Mukherjee, with support from the Indian Institute of Quantitative Finance.

The plot revolves around three friends—each with a different life, and each seeking their own kind of freedom. One dreams of escaping poverty, another wishes to move past old wounds, and the third is determined to create their own identity. More than their circumstances, they fight their fears and chase their dreams—friendship being both their greatest strength and their toughest challenge.

The lead cast includes Chetan Sharma, Shailja Chaturvedi, and Ayyaz Pasha, supported by Rishika Chandani, Kalpana Rao, Swapnil Shrirav, Sayli Meshram, and Sarmishtha Dhar. Every character brings a distinct story and a clear, authentic voice.

Written and directed by Himanshu Raj Talreja, this series marks a fresh creative chapter for him. Miniatures Drama believes that great stories don’t need to be long or loud—truth and emotional depth are enough to reach the audience’s heart.

The 5th edition of Bollywood International Film Festival (BIFF), founded by talented actor Yashpal Sharma and his writer wife Pratibha Suman Sharma, was recently successfully concluded at Veda Kunba theatre in Mumbai. Numerous features, short, animation, documentary films, music videos from various countries were screened in this two-day film festival and many of them won awards. On the first day of the festival, actress Poonam Dhillon, Padmini Kolhapure and actor Deepak Parashar inaugurated the festival.

Many famous artists and filmmakers of the film industry were present on this occasion. Many filmmakers and artists from abroad also participated in this festival.The films screened on the first day included ‘ChalHallaBol’, ‘The Pencil’, ‘Dhadam’, ‘Leer’, ‘Choudhary Saheb’, ‘Bloom’, etc.On the first day, a discussion was also held under ‘Let’s Talk’ with renowned cinematographer Aseem Bajaj and writer Dharmendra Nath Ojha.

The second day of the festival began with the presence of actress Upasana Singh. On this day, many films like ‘Ramnami’, ‘Kaand 2010’, ‘Bhookh’, ‘Water’ were screened, after which a ‘Let’s Talk’ session was organised with filmmaker Avinash Das and theater artist Santosh Jha.After this, the process of giving awards started in which the best films in Indian and foreign categories were awarded.The festival was also supported by the leading OTT app for local languages ‘Stage’, Om Puri Foundation run by late actor Om Puri’s wife Nandita Puri and Pratibha Suman’s Pahal Foundation.The ‘Om Puri Best Actor Award’, instituted this time, was given to actor Manoj Joshi. Actress Seema Bhargav Pahwa was honored for her cinematic achievements.Senior actor Lilliput was also present on this occasion. Amidst colourful programmes, the function was anchored by AlpanaSuhasini and Mona Shah.Festival jury members filmmaker Rajiv Bhatia, actress Vandana Bhatia, film critic Deepak Dua, French actress Marianne Borgo, filmmaker Geetanjali Sinha, Bangladeshi actor Tauquir Ahmed were also honoured.
