Sunny Deol and Varun Dhawan’s war drama Border 2 has taken the box office by storm. In just four days since its release, the film has sailed past the Nears ₹250 crore mark globally. The movie, featuring Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty alongside Sunny, enjoyed a bumper Republic Day weekend, thanks to strong word of mouth and audience appreciation.

Border 2 banned in Gulf countries including the UAE

Sunny Deol and Varun Dhawan’s upcoming war film Border 2 is set to release in theatres on January 23, 2026. However, the film will not be screened in several Gulf countries. Rani Mukerji’s much-awaited Mardaani 3 has cleared the censor board with a U/A 16+ certificate. The film’s approved runtime is 2 hours, 10 minutes, and 36 seconds, making it the longest in the franchise. The first half runs for 1 hour 6 minutes, while the second half is 1 hour 4 minutes.
