Salman Prays for Dharmendra’s Health,Said He’s Like a Father to Me

Salman Khan recently opened up about Dharmendra’s health, expressing deep affection and concern for the veteran actor. Salman was among the first to visit Dharmendra during his hospitalisation in Mumbai. During a press event in Qatar, when Salman was asked about the inspiration behind his fitness journey, he immediately named Dharmendra. He said, “He is like my father…I love that man, and I just hope he will come back soon,” earning loud cheers from the audience.

Dharmendra and Salman have shared a close bond for years. Dharmendra often lovingly calls Salman his “beta,” and once even said that Salman would be the perfect choice to play him in a biopic. Dharmendra was discharged from the hospital on Wednesday, and Sunny Deol’s team shared that his treatment will continue at home, requesting privacy for the family during this time.

Salman Khan will be seen in Battle of Galwan, co-starring Chitrangda Singh. Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, the film revisits the deadly 2020 Galwan Valley clash between Indian and Chinese soldiers.

Salman Khan’s ‘Battle of Galwan’ to Release in June 2026

Salman Khan is currently busy shooting his war film, ‘Battle of Galwan’. Initially, it was planned to be released in January 2026, but now reports suggest the film may hit theaters in June 2026. Shooting will continue until December, so the makers have decided to postpone the release to avoid any rush. Director Apoorva Lakhia wants to ensure that post-production work is completed thoroughly.

Shooting for ‘Battle of Galwan’ began in September in Ladakh, where Salman and the team filmed action sequences in difficult terrain. Following this, several emotional and family scenes are being shot in the Mumbai schedule. After the film wraps up in December, the film will enter post-production. Since the film is based on patriotism, the makers are also considering releasing it around August 15, 2026.

Fans are hoping that, like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman will also launch the teaser of “Battle of Galwan” on his birthday (December 27th). However, no official announcement has been made by the team yet. Salman plays Army officer Colonel Bikumalla Santosh Babu in the film and has paid special attention to his fitness for it. His new look has further fueled the excitement of fans on social media.
