Night shows proved to be the biggest crowd-puller, registering an occupancy of over 61 percent. Cities and states like Rajasthan, Gujarat, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and Mumbai have shown especially encouraging response.

Border 2 Morning Shows Cancelled Due to Technical Delay

Sunny Deol’s much-awaited film Border 2 hit theatres on January 23, but several morning shows were cancelled across parts of India. Reports suggest that delays in content delivery led to the cancellation of early screenings, leaving fans disappointed on release day. Exhibitors clarified that the issue was temporary and caused by technical reasons.

According to trade sources, early shows scheduled between 7:30 am and 9 am could not take place as the final digital content was delivered late. Platforms like UFO Moviez reportedly informed cinema owners that the download would start only around 6:30 am. With the film’s long runtime of 192 minutes, it took additional hours to prepare the content for screening.

Despite the initial disruption, exhibitors remain confident that shows will resume smoothly. Screenings are expected to begin nationwide by around 10 am. Directed by Anurag Singh, Border 2 stars Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty, and is releasing ahead of the Republic Day weekend.
