The Saudi Film Commission, in collaboration with Dome Entertainment, a leading Indian production and event company, brings Saudi Film Nights to India. This initiative marks Saudi Arabia’s cinematic debut in the vibrant cities of Mumbai, Delhi, and Hyderabad. Saudi Film Nights in India follows the successful screenings previously held in Morocco, Australia and China, showcasing Saudi Arabia’s burgeoning film industry on a global scale. Saudi Film Nights in India will showcase a curated selection of Saudi films, including short films such as “Mashnia’s Life” by Saad Tahaitah, and “The Edge” by Ahmed Alqithmi, and feature films like “Slave” by Mansour Assad, as well as “Fever Dream” by Faris Godus. Indian audiences will enjoy exclusive post-screening discussions with Saudi filmmakers, offering insights into the creative journeys and cultural narratives shaping Saudi cinema.

This initiative seeks to foster collaboration between the Indian and Saudi film industries, promoting cultural exchange and mutual growth. The highly anticipated pan-Indian epic action entertainer ‘Vrusshabha’ made on a mega budget, starring Mohanlal, has officially wrapped filming. The final schedule, which took place in Mumbai, marked the completion of this ambitious project, and the cast and crew commemorated the occasion with a grand cake-cutting ceremony. Ibrahim Ali Khan, son of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh, is set to make his Bollywood debut opposite Khushi Kapoor, daughter of Boney Kapoor and the late Sridevi, in the upcoming film “Nadaaniyan.” The first poster of the film was unveiled on February 1, 2025. Directed by Shauna Gautam, who previously assisted Karan Johar on “Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani,” the film is produced by Karan Johar’s Dharmatic Entertainment and will be released directly on Netflix.

“Nadaaniyan” is described as a young adult romantic drama that captures the magic, madness, and innocence of first love. The story revolves around Piya, a bold and spirited girl from South Delhi, and Arjun, a determined middle-class boy from Noida. As their two completely different worlds collide, they embark on a journey filled with mischief, heart, and the sweet messiness of first love. The film also features Mahima Chaudhary, Suniel Shetty, Dia Mirza, and Jugal Hansraj in pivotal roles.

An official release date has not been announced yet, but “Nadaaniyan” is expected to premiere on Netflix in early 2025.

Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya’s Republic Day release, Sky Force, has witnessed a drop in earnings on its first Tuesday. The film collected Rs 5.75 crore across all languages, bringing its total domestic box office earnings to Rs 75 crore.

  • Saturday: Rs 22 crore
  • Sunday: Rs 28 crore
  • Monday: Rs 7 crore
  • Tuesday: Rs 5.75 crore

The film had an overall 11.81% Hindi occupancy on Tuesday. While Sky Force showed strong numbers over the weekend, it experienced a significant drop on Monday and Tuesday.

Trade Analysis

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh noted that the film performed well in urban multiplexes, though mass circuits did not fully benefit from the Republic Day holiday. Despite limited occupancy in the morning and afternoon, evening shows recorded better footfall on Monday.
